I’m inspired by people being the Word. To see people be community, be peace, be love, be generous, be Christ in their everyday lives. The living Word in our church, in movies, in books – this is what stirs my heart.
Waking up in a place much cooler than the desert, drinking a good cup of coffee and going for a run through the mountains.
Spending the afternoon reading, playing guitar, eating delicious food, a nerf war with my son and quality time with the fam.
End the day on a date with my incredibly gorgeous wife, eating seafood at a restaurant we’ve never been, and taking a stroll down the San Clemente pier.
Fall – I love wearing jackets and jeans, I love football, I love the changing seasons, I love holidays, I love hiking, and I love reading a book with a good cup of coffee.
This is a difficult one to narrow down, so I’ll give all of them: The Office, Seinfeld, Friends, How I Met Your Mother, Parks and Rec. I love to watch these (and often do) over and over and over again.
Currently, I’m changing lots of diapers.
Rootsy alternative folk music. Mumford and Sons, Head and the Heart, Lord Huron, and The Oh Hellos. This makes sense when you learn I’m from Kansas, I play the banjo/guitar/mandolin, and I love waking up to a rainy day (yes, I know I live in Phoenix).

Morning: Starbucks; going on a hike in the Rocky Mountains
Afternoon: reading at a Café in France; playing guitar; watching a movie (on my world-travelling jet apparently)
Evening: getting dressed-up for a date with my gorgeous wife; going to dinner at a place we’ve never been; taking a stroll in downtown NYC
Fall – In addition to Knox being born: I love wearing jackets, I love football, I love baked goods, I love holidays, I love hiking, and I love pumpkin spice lattes.
This is a difficult one to narrow down, so I’ll give all of them: Friends, How I Met Your Mother, Parks and Rec, Parenthood, Friday Night Lights. I love to watch these shows over and over and over again.

Rootsy modern folk music (is this a genre??). Mumford and Sons, Head and the Heart, and the “O’ Brother Where Art Thou?” soundtrack. This makes sense when you learn I’m from Kansas, I like urbanization, and I play the banjo/guitar/mandolin.
