Stephen Ministers are trained church members who provide one-on-one, Christ-centered care to people experiencing difficult seasons of life, including:

  • Grief and loss
  • Divorce or separation
  • Job loss
  • Chronic or terminal illness
  • Relocation
  • Other personal life challenges

The qualities we look for most in a Stephen Minister are a caring heart, a listening ear, a growing relationship with Christ, and proven trustworthiness.

We believe Christ is the Cure Giver—we are simply the caregivers. Our role is not to fix people or provide professional counseling. Stephen Ministers are not licensed counselors or spiritual directors. Instead, they offer compassionate listening, encouragement, prayer, and a faithful presence for those who are hurting.

All applicants participate in an interview process. Those selected complete specialized training that equips them to serve with confidence in a healthy, Christ-centered way.

Confidentiality is essential to building trust.

We place a high value on protecting sensitive information and creating a safe environment where people can honestly share life's challenges. All of our pastors and Stephen Ministers are trained to maintain strict confidentiality so you can receive care in a private, respectful, and trustworthy setting.
