StudentLife exists to help 6th-12th graders encounter Jesus, journey together, and discover their purpose.
Our Core Values
StudentLife on Sunday Nights
Every Sunday night 6-7:30pm, 6th-12th graders meet up for StudentLife in the StudentLife Room at McDowell Church.
Sunday nights are all about hanging out, playing games, awesome worship music, teaching that helps you encounter Jesus, and gathering in journey groups together.
You do not want to miss Sunday nights. And neither do your friends! Text them an invite. StudentLife is happening and we need you on the journey.
New here? Come find one of our volunteers at the check-in station and we’ll show you around!
StudentLife on Sunday Mornings
We want students to be a part of Sunday mornings at McDowell. Students are invited to serve or attend a worship service. We believe students are a vital part of the life of the church now and not just a generation waiting their turn. Not serving and want to sit with us? StudentLife sits together during the 10:45am service. Meet us in the StudentLife room at 10:15, grab a donut and then we will walk over to service together. Families are welcome to join us, too! For the Parents
How do I get my student involved in StudentLife?
Bring them to StudentLife on Sunday Nights. Sunday nights are the best time to connect with other students their same gender and grade. If they don’t know anyone, Sunday nights are the best opportunity to change that! Our team would love to help introduce them to their journey group leaders as well as other students their age.
What are your key events throughout the year?
We do Middle School Camp and High School Camp every summer. Winter Camp happens in February and we do a Mexico Missions Trip every Fall. Be sure to check out our upcoming events to sign-up for those opportunities.
What does the StudentLife staff look like?
Chip Taylor and Sarah Wedel are full-time on StudentLife staff. We have an open door policy. Have questions or concerns about your student? Looking for some spiritual resources? Just want to chat? Call the church office. We would love to meet with you over coffee. We also have a volunteer coaching team that lead our journey groups on Sunday nights. They are background checked and vetted to insure that they are the best people to be leading your students relationally and spiritually. Finally, we have interns throughout the year that invest in our students and serve StudentLife.
